Every child is unique, so there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. The key is understanding your child’s strengths, needs, and learning style, then applying practical, evidence-based strategies consistently. In this course, I’ll guide you step by step on how to set up routines, learning activities, and supports at home that align with your child’s goals, build independence, and reduce stress for the whole family. You’ll walk away with actionable tools you can start using right away. description

ABA can be very effective for some children, but it’s not the right fit for everyone. Its success depends on your child’s unique needs, your family’s values, and how the program is implemented. Done correctly, ABA can lead to meaningful, lasting outcomes. Done incorrectly, it can have negative effects. I’m happy to discuss whether ABA might be a good fit for your child and family.

Inclusion can offer wonderful learning and social opportunities, but it’s not the right fit for every child. When implemented with proper support, children can gain meaningful experiences. If supports aren’t in place, a child may feel overwhelmed or not benefit fully. I can help families explore the learning environment that best supports their child’s growth and confidence.

IEP meetings can feel overwhelming, and it’s common for parents to go along with what the school suggests, even if some services are overlooked or underprovided. Confidence comes from preparation: knowing your child’s strengths and needs, understanding your rights, and having clear questions or goals. I provide guidance and strategies to help parents advocate effectively for the supports their child truly needs.

Some school systems are underfunded, and resources can be limited. If your child isn’t making meaningful progress in the school setting, especially when supported by data-driven academic interventions, it may be time to consider alternative approaches. Tutoring can provide the extra support they need to thrive. Tutoring offers personalized attention, helps reinforce learning, and can build confidence and independence. I can help you determine whether tutoring is the right fit for your child.
