Frequently asked questions.
How can I support my child at home?
Every neurodivergent child is different, so effective support starts with understanding their strengths, communication style, and executive functioning needs.
In coaching, I help families develop practical routines, communication strategies, and supports that build independence and reduce stress—without relying on rigid or one-size-fits-all systems.
The goal is to create a structure that supports the child, not controls them.
How do you approach autism support?
My approach is neurodiversity-affirming and strengths-based. I focus on helping autistic and ADHD individuals build self-understanding, executive functioning skills, emotional regulation, and self-advocacy.
I do not use compliance-based or behavior-reduction models. Instead, I focus on practical tools that support independence and confidence in everyday life.
Is inclusion always the best option?
Inclusive environments can be supportive when they are properly structured and responsive to individual needs.
What matters most is not the label of “inclusion,” but whether the environment provides appropriate communication support, sensory consideration, and expectations that align with the individual’s needs.
I help families and individuals think through what environments are most supportive for long-term success and well-being.
How can I prepare for an IEP meeting?
Preparation is key to effective advocacy.
This includes understanding strengths and needs, identifying priorities, and preparing clear questions about supports and accommodations.
I support families in learning how to approach these meetings with clarity and confidence so decisions reflect the student’s actual needs and goals.
Does my child need tutoring or coaching support?
Some learners benefit from additional support outside of school, especially when they need help with executive functioning, organization, or learning strategies that are not fully addressed in the classroom.
In coaching, the focus is not just academic content, but also how to learn effectively—building systems, confidence, and independence over time.
Together, we can determine whether coaching support is the right fit based on current needs and goals.
